Why Do We Have Prophecy, Speaking in Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues in Our Worship?
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal… another prophecy; to another different kind of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. Make love your aim, and earnestly desire the spiritual gift especially that you may prophesy….one who prophesies speak to men for the up-building, encouragement and consolidation.”( 1 Cor. 14:1-3 RSV)
“Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy, and greater is one who prophesies that one who speaks in tongues unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying.” (1 Cor. 14:5)
“If anyone speaks in tongues, it should be by two or the most by three, and each one in turn, and let on interpret. Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues.” (1 Cor. 14:27 NAS)
Why Do We Worship God An Offering?
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house and test Me now in this, says the Lord of Hosts if I will not open for you the window of Heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” (Malachi 3:10)
“Now this I say, he who shows sparingly shall reap sparingly. And he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. Let each one give just as he has a purpose in his heart, not grudgingly nor under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver.” (II Cor. 9:6, 7)
“Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over shall men give unto you blossom. For with the same measure that metes, withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38 NAS)
WORSHIP
Why Do We Audibly Praise God?
“Let all the people praise thee, O God, Let all the People Praise Thee.” (Psalm 67:3)
“Let every one that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6)
“By Him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:5)
Why Are Musical Instruments A Part of the Worship Service?
“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals. Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.” (Psalms 105:3-5)
Why Do We Stand To Sing?
“And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhtites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.”
Why Do We Lift Our Hands?
“Thus I bless thee while I live: I will lift up thy hands in Thy Name.” ( Psalm 63:4)
“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord.” (Psalm 134:2)
Why Do We Dance?
“Let them praise His name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and the harp.” (Psalm 149:3)
Praise Him with the Timbrel and dance…..” (Psalm 150:4)
Why Do We Pray and Sing In The Spirit?
“What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the Spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” (1 Cor. 14:15)

The inception of this Ministry began when God birthed within my spirit a burden, cry and desire to minister to the needs of women in Saint Lucia. Bethel Intercessory Team (BIT)
Who We Are:
Bethel Tabernacle Intercessory Team is a team with expectations to see results through intercession and prayer. The Bethel Intercessory Team is a ministry that covers Pastor (s) and Churches and intercedes on behalf of the members, cities, nations and nations.
The mission of the Intercessors (1Timothy 2:1-2)
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
Intercessors stand in the gap and petition God on behalf of others and situations.
Our Mission:
To raise up and acquire seasoned watchmen, gatekeepers, and mature intercessors that will:
- Be ready to engage in spiritual warfare at all times
- Pull down and root up stronghold and hindrances from satan
- Bind and annihilate demonic forces that would oppose the church, the pastor, leaders, members, and nation.
- Speak prophetically into the atmosphere and see results for the Kingdom of God
Our Purpose (Ephesians 6:18)
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for the entire Lord’s people.
To ensure that every intercessor is trained and equipped to recognize and understand their spiritual weapons through prayer that assists the church and community.
The Vision
The vision of the intercessory Prayer Team will train each intercessor for the purpose of the ministry. To work together as a cohesive Body of Christ; ensure effective operation in the spiritual realm. We strongly believe in the operation of prophetic intercession where all spiritual gifts are used in conjunction with intercessory prayer.
The purpose of the Greeter Ministry is to extend a personal welcome to as many people as possible who enter the church, with special and specific emphasis on those who are visitors. A smile can go a long way! Greeters are one of the first points of contact for those who enter the church building. Greeters are responsible for greeting and directing all people who come to Bethel Empowerment Centre services before, during and after services.
Mission Statement:
Our desire is to welcome people into the House of God, just as if we were welcoming them into our own homes!
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23 – 4 (NIV)
Vision:
- To make people feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they enter our doors and make Bethel Tabernacle their home.
- To assist the ushers with special seating.
- To assist in other duties assigned by the pastor.
- To attend orientation and training.
The purpose of the Anointed Alter Attendants or triple “A” Ministry is to assist the Senior Pastor or whoever is ministering, in keeping order at the alter while the work of the Holy Spirit is manifested. With sensitivity, love, compassion, members of this ministry minister to the needs of those who are being touched by the laying on of hands or by anointing with oil. Led by the Holy Spirit and listening to his prompting, ministry members help the smooth flow of his part of the service.
Vision:
Maintain an orderly atmosphere where the Holy Spirit has free reign to move and operate as He wills in our midst to do deliverances, signs, wonders, and miracles.
Duties:
Ministry members direct the flow of healing lines to ensure orderly progress takes place. To maintain Christian modesty, ministry members place alter clothes over prostrate worshipers to cover exposed parts of their bodies. Male members of the ministry serve as “catchers” to gently lay down on the floor those who are being ministered to by the Holy Spirit in a special manner. Male team members also assist up from the floor those who are ready to return to their seats. Ministry members direct the flow of all of those leaving the altar area to keep proceedings decent and in order.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Usher Ministry is to accommodate every congregant who enters the church with a seat in the most pleasant and efficient manner possible.
- We provide a comfortable, God-fearing and loving orderly atmosphere for the congregants to come and worship.
- To ensure members and visitors receive the relevant assistance to enjoy a pleasant worship experience.
- To ensure that each member is safe and the sanctuary is set up for worship.
- To strive to make Bethel Tabernacle a place where people want to join because of the care received from the Ushers.
Vision
The Vision of the Usher Ministry is to serve every person that enters Bethel Tabernacle with a one to one experience and exchange of love that radiates people from just sitting in the pew to becoming disciples of Jesus Christ through the service provided by the Usher’s Ministry.
1 Peter 4:9-11
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
Objectives
The objectives of this vital ministry are to serve the people and meet their needs with a gracious and spiritual attitude.
Ephesians 6:6-8;
Obey them not only to win their favour when their eye is on you but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
Romans 12: 1, 10-11
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord.
